Year of Great Achievements

TEXT: 2 Kings 7:1-

Without faith, it is impossible to please God. For whosoever cometh to the father must believe that he is and he is the rewarder of them that diligently seek or serve him.

Our walk with God is a walk of faith. We must be ready to have a mad faith to be able to receive abundantly from God.

If we have no faith, we cannot please God. And if we cannot please God, we cannot receive any good thing from him.

If we cannot receive from him then we lack the divine provisions to fulfill our purpose in life. In our text, we read about the famine that was claiming the lives of the people but the man of God (Elisha) came out and said by this time tomorrow there will be great abundance in the land.

A man of God without faith cannot make it because God will tell you some things that are unbelievable and it will take your personal faith to speak it out. It takes your personal faith to trust the Lord who has called and sent you.

God has said this year is a year of labor and productivity. A year that God will reward you in whatever you do to better your life and also in whatsoever step you take. This is the year you will see results. Prophesy has gone out but will not be fulfilled until steps are taken. The duty of the man of God is to tell you what God has said.

Sometimes the man of God teaches you how to get something he does not have yet. It takes faith, boldness and confidence in God.
Overflowing provision in the land of famine within 24 hours is a humanly impossible situation. Lots of people amputate their blessing and destiny by questioning the word of God.

The best thing you can do for yourself is when the word of God goes forth, don’t question it. As long as you are sure that the spirit of God is in operation in any church you decide to join. You must also constantly pray to know if the spirit of the Lord is still in operation. If you are sure then that the spirit of the Lord is in operation, then when the word of God is spoken out, abide by it. As long as it’s not manipulative, it’s to enrich certain people, it’s scriptural, it’s beneficial, then don’t question it.

However, the four leprous men indicated people ostracized, people that cannot be allowed in fellowship meeting, people completely cut off from the society. Therefore if you think you are handicapped in any area of your life, there’s hope for you at the gates which is a place of decision, place of judgment. Remember, we are treating the topic “Dare to step out in faith”. There leprous men decided to leave their position and go search for food in the enemy’s camp because they reasoned if they remain, they will die. And if they go to the enemy’s camp, they may die but until they go into the enemy’s camp, they will never know for sure if they will die. The principle here is that these leprous men decided to step out.
Ref Isaiah:
Treasure and hidden riches means the blessing of the children of God stolen and put in a cage by the devil. If you keep considering your situation and don’t step out, you are not adding works to your faith. “Understand that the rights to choose your own path is a sacred privilege use it and dwell in possibilities” quoted by Oprah Winfrey. To know what you want to do in life or why you are created is a sacred thing. “The biggest secret to success in life is that there is no big secret” by Oprah Winfrey. Whatever your goal is, you can get there if you are willing to work.
Henri David Turrell said if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams and endeavors to have the life which he has imagined he will meet with success unexpectedly in uncommon hours.

Oprah Winfrey said “My philosophy is not only are you responsible for your life, but also doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment”. Winston Churchill said “Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts”.

Steps that you can take:Resolve in your heart that God will back you up in any step you take to better your life. You must maintain it in your mind and heart that God is willing to support you to fulfill your purpose in life.
Resolve to cut off from your life now anything that has hindered your progress in time past. It may be a friend, irrespective of how long you have been friends because sometimes for wrong things to stop happening in your life, you have to cast out the wrong people from your life. And for right things to start happening in your life, bring in the right people into your life or get into the company of right people.

It may be a secret sin.
Evaluate your relationships and categorize into those who have been a blessing, those who have been a distraction and those who have been a curse and cut off from those who have not contributed positively into your life.
“Resolve that even though it may not be easy, you will make it through because there is no easy way out, if there was, I would have bought it and it would have been one of my favorite things”, quoted by Oprah Winfrey. However, whenever there is a will, there is always a way.
Start planning your time from today. An ounce of action is worth a ton of hill. A step taken in faith is better than 100 hrs of praying, waiting on God, confessing scriptures and doing nothing. Where do you want to be 5yrs from now, is the core of the matter, start planning now.
You can decide to remain in the same position and hope for a miracle or take steps to improve yourself, which will get you a promotion in the future.
Resolve to stand against the spirit of laziness and discouragement. Prov 10:4. Even those who have made it in life are still very hard working. Make up your mind to be diligent and hardworking in whatever you have decided to do or pursue.
Buy, Borrow and read materials that can broaden your knowledge in whatever live you have decided to follow. Studying plays a major role in achieving goals in life. Dan 9:2, 2 Tim 4:13.
Choose your mentor and study his or her life for your benefit.
