Proverbs 14:4

Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.

Maka dihantar-Nya akan daku keluar kepada KELUASAAN, dan disentak-Nya aku, sebab Ia berkenan akan daku.~2 Samuel 22 – Alkitab Terjemahan Lama[King James Bible~He brought me forth also into A LARGE PLACE: he delivered me, because he delighted in me]

Oxen are quiet and unassuming animals that give back far more than they take. They are willing to work long hours with a comparatively small amount of feed and care. Their humility and gentle perseverance are a constant source of example for us all. And Jesus used these quiet creatures to whisper words of encouragement into our hectic lives.   –Taken from

An ox is a picture of the apostolic ministry and represents those who have the capacity and stamina to minster for long periods of time to multitudes. They require little to no maintenance. They operate in humility but they have power. Theox emphasis of labor is mostly for the development of others in order to advance the Kingdom of God.

Notice how increase is directly connected to the strength of the ox.  Individuals and local churches that embrace the apostolic will be expanded and enlarged. The labor and effort put forth in training and developing others requires strength, time and compassion.  For instance, training in intercession, prophetic ministry, deliverance, healing, evangelism, missions, etc.  Believers who are involved in this kind of ministry become key players in advancing the Kingdom of God.

Rewards are the portion of those who labor. Rewards speak of increase. The Anointing of the Ox yields to increase. I’ve listed five areas, I believe, we should expect rewards to come through as we labor and plough in the Kingdom of God.

Mark 10:25-30

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? 27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

28 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.

oxs29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, 30 But HE SHALL RECEIVE AN HUNDREDFOLD NOW IN THIS TIME, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

The referenced verses deal with the duality that awaits those who have accumulated riches in this life when confronted with living in compliance with The King of Glory. However, compliance with Christ mandate positions us to receive a HUNDREDFOLD now in this time.

Your sacrifice in giving and laboring in the nations is going to yield tremendous rewards.  Those who leave their families, for extended periods of time, to minister the Gospel of the Kingdom in distant lands and dark places shall be rewarded.  Your commitment to fulfilling the great commission shall not go unnoticed. The LORD of the harvest will bless you.

Seeking God (Praise/Worship)

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that HE IS A REWARDER of them that diligently seek him.

Seek literally means to resort to or go in search of. This will be most evident in praise and worship unto the LORD. There are times where labor is required in glorifying God. Ministering to Him for sustained periods of time requires strength. Some times you’ll have to plow in order to breakthrough to new levels of His presence. The OX ANOINTING is necessary for access to realms of praise and worship that shifts atmospheres and opens the hearts of men to the things of the LORD.

Hosea 10:11b

I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.

Judah means praise and it also means to put your hand in the neck of your enemies. Our praise will render unto us the necks of our enemies. The neck, a stiff neck in particular, represents pride. As we plow in praise and worship many will begin to humble themselves in the presence of God.

 Jeremiah 31:14-16

Thus saith the Lord; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rachel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not. 16 Thus saith the Lord; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for THY WORK SHALL BE REWARDED, saith the Lord; and they shall come again from the land of the ene

This verse is also emphasized in Matthew 2:17-18 and it is prophetic fulfillment. Christ made His debut and would be the fulfillment of Israel’s restoration and the salvation of Gentile nations.  Rachel who represents Israel was told to refrain from weeping and crying. Her travail was now accomplished. There are many who have labored in intercession for countless hours and years. You are about to be rewarded for your work in prayer and the nations are being aligned for encounters with Gods power of redemption, renewal and restoration.

 Our Labor

 1 Corinthians 9:8-10

Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? 9 For it is written in the law of Moses, thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? 10 Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that plowethshould plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.

1 Timothy 5:17-19

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. 18 For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The LABOURER IS WORTHY OF HIS REWARD.

lembuThese verses highlight the importance of blessing those who labor. Ministry gifts that bless us and strengthen us should be un-muzzled. Like the OX who treads out the corn should be allowed to eat the corn, so should we do unto those who labor in order to help us advance in the call, purpose and ways of God. Those who constantly impart, build and strengthen us for the purposes of God should be blessed likewise.

May you be one to un-muzzle ministry gifts who have equipped and activated you for greater service in the Kingdom of God.

 Our Righteousness

 2 Samuel 22:20-22

He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me. 21 The LordREWARD ME ACCORDING TO MY RIGHTEOUSNESS: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me. 22 For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

There are rewards coming to those who have spent time developing their character for the call of God. The LORD is aboutox to release His goodness in ways unimaginable. Your righteousness is the driving force. Though we are the righteousness of God in Christ, we are still responsible to work righteousness.  There are times when we have to plough in righteousness. Wickedness, evil, iniquity, darkness and vileness are all enemies of righteousness. When any of these works are present there’s a necessity to plough in righteousness. This requires strength and time. May the OX ANOINTING rest upon you strong in this season as the work of your hands is being rewarded.
